The Mighty Oak

The Mighty Oak of Warren County, Iowa was approximately 120 years old when a rope tornado touched down and devestated this gentle giant and its familiar surroundings.

For over 76 years this oak tree was the sentinel for the Judkin’s family farm. It stood prominently by the barn weathering seasons, overseeing the changes of the land and farm as well as playing a role in childhood stories that will last a life time.
